This World Children's Day, we were reminded of a truth that deserves attention every day. Every child has the right to play, learn and grow up safe. In Germany, Weltkindertag is observed on September 20, and in Thuringia it is a public holiday that gives many families additional time together.
The day is connected to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, but its meaning is also visible in everyday moments. It is present when a child explores a play area with confidence, when a parent knows who is caring for their child, and when a small achievement helps a child feel proud of what they can do.
